José Álvaro Vidal School, with its three teaching centres in Alverca, Ericeira and Aranhó, is based on an educational project that aims to reflect the vision of the educational community which is rooted in the values and principles of humanism, solidarity, equal opportunities and sustainable development that guide the nature of interventions of the CEBI Foundation. It offers excellent education from Nursery to Year 12, respecting the individuality and specific needs of each student, with a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals.
Educational Offer
NURSERY | Differentiated socio-educational response for the care of children from four months old to two years old ones, in a high-quality context. It's a reunion between affection, culture and well-being.
FAMILY DAYCARE | A socio-educational response designed in an environment suitable for the care of children from four months to two years old, in a perspective of effective collaboration between the family, the family assistant and the kindergarten teacher.
PRESCHOOL | Based on our desire to always be more innovative, we provide daily encouraging experiences that inspire and stimulate our students. Preschool guides the educational process of each child, from the ages of 3 to 5, certain that these life experiences and learning during this time spent at school will accompany them for life.
1st CYCLE | From Year 1 to Year 4 - a phase of formal learning that aims for the personal and academic development of the students. It has a stable pedagogical team that follows the group/class throughout the four school years.
2nd AND 3rd CYCLES | From Year 5 to Year 9- Focused on the individuals and their action in the world, as a common good to be preserved. One of the pillars of the school is to promote a structuring and balanced vision of the teaching / learning process, based on an active, interventionist, entrepreneurial and responsible role of each student.
SECONDARY EDUCATION | From Year 10 to Year 12 – Supported by an entrepreneurial school environment, with diverse and appropriate resources for active and participatory teaching practices. We promote, through it, conditions of emotional and rational balance between knowledge, innovation, autonomy, creativity and critical thinking.
